Are you an accredited Child Panel Solicitor ready to take on a varied high-impact caseload in a supportive progressive environment

Our client a respected London law firm offers opportunities to work on complex child care proceedings develop your expertise and advance your career with genuine flexibility and robust benefits.

The Opportunity

You will provide technical expertise and guidance on all aspects of child care law managing your own diverse caseload and supporting vulnerable clients through challenging matters. Youll also have the chance to supervise junior colleagues and contribute to the growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise and represent parents family members and children (directly or via CAFCASS)

  • Oversee Legal Aid and CCMS procedures and court preparation (bundles instructing counsel)

  • Manage and supervise solicitors trainees and paralegals

  • Deliver guidance training and support to the wider team

  • Handle a broad range of care cases: Care/Interim Orders Supervision Orders Emergency Protection Orders Special Guardianship Adoption Pre-Proceedings Child Arrangement Orders Domestic abuse/violence and more

  • Undertake own advocacy at court and attend conferences

  • Drive business development and build on existing contacts/networks

  • Draft and prepare legal documents witness statements and evidence

About You

  • Accredited Child Panel Solicitor with 5 years PQE (applications welcomed from all experienced candidates)

  • Experienced in managing complex child care cases and supervising junior colleagues

  • Strong knowledge of Legal Aid/CCMS care proceedings and best practice in child care law

  • Excellent client care advocacy and communication skills

  • Proven business development and networking abilities

  • Familiar with legal case management systems and document management

  • Clean valid Practising Certificate and Law Society Children Panel Accreditation
