Job Summary
We are working with a highly regarded Independent secondary school in the Peterborough area that is seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Teacher of Design Technology to join their well-resourced department from January. This is a full-time permanent role offering the opportunity to teach in an environment with small class sizes excellent facilities and highly motivated students.
The Role
You will teach Design Technology across KS3 and KS4 with opportunities to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and subject specialism. The department places a strong emphasis on practical skill development design thinking and real-world problem solving allowing students to follow projects from initial concept through to final manufacture.
You will be involved in curriculum planning assessment and enrichment including design showcases competitions and cross-curricular initiatives. Specialisms such as Product Design Resistant Materials Engineering or CAD/CAM would be particularly welcomed though a flexible approach to teaching is valued.
