Job Summary

Title - ICU Stepdown
Duration - 13 weeks
Shift - must be able to work 3 flex shifts per week alternating weekends and holidays 1 hr meal break per shift
Shift Timings - 7:00 PM-7:30 AM

Job Summary: Care for patients transitioning out of the ICU requiring more care and attention than patients on a general medical-surgical unit. Monitoring patients with medical equipment such as catheters feeding tubes tracheostomies ventilators and cardiac monitors. RN to patient ratio 1:4 ranging from young adult to geriatric. Frequent patient assessments and proper escalation of a patients change in medical condition. Responding to cardiac arrest and rapid response codes.

Required Skills & Experience: -Two (2) years of Medical/Surgical SD experience. OR -Two (2) years of ICU experience. -Two (2) years of IV Insertion & Phlebotomy experience. -Two (2) years of Conscious Sedation experience. -Demonstrates satisfactory completion of age specific competency.

Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Required Certifications: AHA BLS AHA ACLS NYS License.
