Job Summary
Job Summary
- Serve as a key accounting and finance leader supporting the Corporate Controller.
- Oversee technical accounting reinsurance accounting accounting policy internal controls documentation and tax compliance management.
- Conduct technical accounting research and ensure compliance with US GAAP especially ASC 944 (Insurance).
- Support monthly financial close financial reporting and related disclosures.
- Develop maintain and update accounting policies and procedures.
- Document and monitor internal controls identifying and addressing gaps.
- Manage reinsurance accounting processes collaborating with actuarial and carrier teams.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of reinsurance and insurance trust transactions.
- Coordinate with external tax compliance providers for timely and accurate filings.
- Serve as a primary contact for external auditors providing documentation and explanations.
- Assist in new client/program implementations and process improvement projects.
- Lead the assessment of accounting requirements for new programs and reporting deliverables.
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency within the accounting and finance functions.
- Thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment effectively managing multiple priorities.
