Functioning within the Health System s mission vision values policies and procedures the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients on his/her shift. RN responsibilities include assessing planning implementing and evaluating patient care using age specific criteria. Judgments are made based upon scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN also assists in planning directing and teaching non-RN staff such as LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries
Requirement description : - 2 Years of Experience - Required
- Chest tube and other drain management Experience - Required
- Post-operative open heart care experience - Required
- Pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access - Required
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring including: reading and interpreting cardiac rhythym strips recognizing and responding to changes in cardiac rhythms - Required
- Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities
- Experience with the following procedures and equipment (assisting with chest tube removal assisting with removal of pericardial pacing wires management of temporary pacers including pericardial and transcutaneous devices use and troubleshooting of non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices high-flow oxygen and other oxygen delivery systems - Required
- Critical Care Experience - Highly Preferred
- BLS & ACLS (AHA) - Required
- Must float to all units within skill level- Required
