Location: Houston TX (Hybrid: 4 days onsite / Friday remote)

Job Summary
The Credit Analyst II is responsible for supporting daily operations managing applicable projects mentoring employees and reporting within the credit department. This includes activities such as new counterparty setups credit limit management contract reviews responding to customer inquiries and monitoring credit exposures. The role demands a detail-oriented professional with strong accounting and finance principles capable of thriving in a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities

Review and coordinate credit terms within counterparty agreements providing recommendations as needed.

Issue letters of credit and guarantees in alignment with company guidelines.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external counterparties.
-
Make informed decisions regarding credit limits and resolve complex credit issues within company policies.

Mentor and guide junior team members on credit processes and best practices.
-
Produce and maintain reports on credit activities and operations on a daily weekly monthly quarterly and annual basis.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Insight
Must Have:
-
Bachelors degree in Business Finance or Accounting and minimum 3 years working in an accounting/finance environment.
-
Minimum 5 years of oil and gas experience in an accounting/finance area.
-
Strong experience in natural gas gathering processing storage and pipeline operations.
-
Hands-on experience with industry tools such as Paragon Experion S&P IQ and Moodys.
-
Solid analytical and reporting capability with Power BI strongly preferred.

Ability to interpret operational data and support gas marketing/commercial activities.
Additional Information:
-
Some travel required: approximately 2 times per year to Tulsa OK.
-
For the Infrastructure role travel to Tulsa may be required to complete training.

Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Duration: 3-6 months; will start with 3 months with potential extension. Both roles are temp-to-perm for the right fit.
Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business Finance or Accounting.

Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles financial documents and ratio analysis.

Excellent organizational analytical and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word PowerPoint Outlook).

Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry within accounting/finance.
