Job Description:

We are seeking a skilledSenior Data Modeler(SOM) Specialist to design and implement moderndata modelingsolutions to meet our clients needs. This role involves creating conceptual logical and physicaldata modelsfor various databases includingAWS Redshift S3Dynamo DBDB2 andPostgres. The ideal candidate will have a strong background indata modelingdatabase tuning and the development of structured and unstructureddata modelsforbusiness intelligenceand analytics. This will be afull-time contractrole andhybridinTrenton NJ.

What Youll Do:

• Design and implement moderndata modelingsolutions using relational dimensionalsnowflake star schemas anddata lakemodels
• Collaborate withApplication Developmentteams to build data strategiesdata flows and conceptualdata models
• Optimize and updatedata modelsto support data initiative projects throughout various implementation phases
• Performreverse engineeringof physicaldata modelsand analyze variances across source systems
• Develop best practices for standardnaming conventionsandcoding practicesto ensure consistency
• Evaluatesystem integrationchallenges and recommend appropriate solutions
• Work withITteams to address performance requirements project limitations and interfaces
• Review modifications to existing software to improve efficiency and performance

What Youll Need Required:

• 8 years of experience indata modelingfor databases such asDB2AWS RedshiftDynamo DBPostgresSQL Server andPEGAApplications
• 6 years of experience withdata modelingsoftware
• Proficiency inAWSand othercloud systems
• Strong SQLanddata profilingskills across variousrelational databases
• Experience in buildingdata lakesfor structured and unstructured data
• Database tuningtechniques
• Expertise in relational data dimensional data unstructured data and master data
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external teams
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision

Preferred:

• Exposure toSnowflakesCloud DataWarehouse
• Knowledge of moderndata managementtrends and modeling techniques
