Description
As a Locum Urologist you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care while working in a dynamic staffing and recruiting environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive urological care to patients
- Conduct examinations diagnose conditions and develop treatment plans
- Perform urological procedures and surgeries as required
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in ongoing medical education and training
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license in the state of practice
- Completion of a residency in Urology
- Associate-level experience in a clinical setting
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
Schedule: 8a-4p in clinic
Call Shifts: 1:6 rotation weekdays (5p-8a) and weekends (24-hour)
Patient Volume: 20-25 per day
Surgical Volume: 20-30 per month
General urology care in clinic and on call
Rounding required
Procedures: Cystoscopies vasectomies prostate biopsies TURPs uroflow/cuffs bladder scans ureteroscopies nephrectomies Cystectomies ESWLs botox injections etc.
Robotics available
Support Staff:2 RNs MA surgery scheduler and 2 front office staff
EMR:Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
