This role forms part of the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL) delivery team supporting large-scale earthworks ground improvement and geotechnical activities across a technically complex rail environment.
About the Role
We are seeking Engineers with geotechnical and/or bulk earthworks experience to join a multidisciplinary project team delivering critical components of the Suburban Rail Loop.
Reporting into senior engineering leadership you will support the planning design coordination and construction delivery of earthworks and ground improvement packages working closely with site teams designers and specialist consultants.
This role offers exposure to complex ground conditions large-scale staging and major transport infrastructure making it an excellent opportunity for engineers looking to deepen their experience on flagship projects.
Requirements
Support delivery of bulk earthworks ground improvement and foundation works
Assist with coordination of geotechnical investigations and site testing
Review and interpret geotechnical and earthworks design documentation
Work closely with construction teams to align design intent with methodology and staging
Monitor ground performance settlement and instrumentation data
Identify and manage technical risks related to earthworks and ground conditions
Support compliance with safety environmental and quality requirements
Liaise with design consultants subcontractors and internal stakeholders
About You
Degree in Civil Engineering Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline
Experience in earthworks geotechnical engineering or ground improvement on infrastructure or construction projects
Understanding of soil behaviour foundations ground treatment and earthworks methodologies
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary project environment
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Experience on rail or major infrastructure projects will be highly regarded
