Job Summary
What will you be doing
We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer with strong experience in both metallic and composite structures to support major aerospace programmes. Youll work within a multi-disciplinary environment contributing to the design and integration of complex structural components used in actuation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design of structural components such as brackets hinge fittings spars and related actuation-system hardware.
- Integration of structural designs within wider system architectures.
- Application of DFM/DFA principles to ensure manufacturability and efficiency.
- Creation modification and review of 3D models and engineering data using 3DX.
- Support of stress manufacturing and systems teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Preparation of technical documentation and design justification where required.
Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Degree in Aerospace Mechanical Structural or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience with metallic and composite structural design.
- Background in designing components for actuation systems or similar aerospace sub-assemblies.
- Good understanding of system integration principles.
- Proficiency with 3DX (or equivalent high-level CAD tools used in major aerospace programmes).
- Experience working within a large aerospace OEM or Tier 1 environment.
- Knowledge of certification processes; signatory-level exposure is a plus.
