As Product Line Manager Protective W/M you will shape the future of Salomons protective gear range including helmets back protectors and alpine poles. Your mission is to deliver innovative consumer-centric product offerings that reflect market trends and strengthen our brand leadership in winter sports.
The key areas of the role:
Lead Consumer & Market Insights
- Identify consumer needs and market trends to inform product briefs.
- Perform competitor analysis through market visits shop tours and industry events.
Build the Product Offering
- Define and deploy product development strategies for helmets back protectors and poles.
- Structure the product range and craft compelling product stories and arguments.
- Collaborate with design R&D and merchandising teams throughout the product creation cycle.
Present & Activate the Offer
- Present product lines to internal and external audiences and actively contribute to new product launches.
- Support the creation of communication and training tools for sales and marketing teams.
Qualifications :
Essential Skills & Experience
- 56 years in product marketing or merchandising ideally in outdoor or winter sports.
- Strong understanding of product development processes and ability to understand the opportunities and limitations of technical product development.
- Knowledge of consumers and the winter sports market (alpine skiing and snowboarding) as well as the outdoor market.
- Knowledge of winter sports products particularly helmets goggles and back protectors.
Essential Competencies
- Market Knowledge: You understand the market context in which we operate knowledge of competitors customers partners. See emerging market trends and implications for customers. You are able to identify emerging competitors and their impact along with competitors strengths and weaknesses.
- Customer Focus: You take actions for customers continually delivering improved service offerings and take special actions which are not standard business practice in the interest of the customer.
- Communication: As an active listener you possess good emotional intelligence to be able to adapt style according to different circumstances and audiences. You are able to pick up on cues and respond effectively.
Desired Qualifications
- Education: Masters degree in Marketing or Business (Bac5)
- Languages: Fluent in English and French
- IT Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office
