Job Summary
- Responsible for safe reliable and efficient operation of utilities equipment and machines including but not limited to diesel generators microturbine compressors chillers boiler and pumps along with its ancillary equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks troubleshooting malfunctions and repair or replace defective components.
- Identify the root causes of problems and implement corrective actions.
- Preventative Maintenance implement and execute preventative maintenance programs to prolong equipment life span and eliminate breakdowns.
- Regularly inspecting utilities equipment and identifying defects and malfunctions and conducting tests and repair to ensure proper function.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities inspection equipment performance and ensure critical spare parts are available.
- Identify and implement operational and performance improvement opportunities
- Provide hands-on support to OEM for major maintenance and overhaul works and actively participate in utilities capital projects.
- Supports organizational philanthropic quality compliance and environmental initiatives across the site.
Qualifications :
Minimum
- Trade/Diploma in Plant Maintenance or mechanical engineering with 5 -7 years hands on experience in maintenance. Alternatively if you have a wealth of experience as a maintenance fitter with a minimum of 10 years in the power stations/utilities plant.
- Extensive knowledge in diesel power generators and compressors systems.
Preferred
- Strong communication and written skills
- Computer literate and proficient with MS office software such as excel
- Knowledge in the application of using Lean problem-solving tools
