KPMG has been appointed as the learning services partner to The Skills Academy - an exciting and innovative approach to skills development for the WA public sector workforce. This one sector approach to learning will deliver a comprehensive suite of courses via a new intuitive and modern technology platform to more than 35000 staff across 56 participating agencies.
Developed in partnership with more than 150 subject matter experts from across the WA public sector 120 courses will be designed specifically for the WA public sector context. Courses will cover a wide range of skills and foundational knowledge required of a modern public sector workforce.
Your opportunity
The Technology Lead is accountable for the end-to-end technical enablement stability and governance of all systems underpinning The Skills Academy. This role ensures that technology supports the seamless delivery of services for the Skills Academy Service Centre including operations event management reporting and learner experience.
The Technology Lead will work closely with the Service Delivery Manager and the Leadership team to maintain a secure scalable and resilient technological environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the technical roadmap for the Skills Academy Service Centre across all systems.
- Own the governance of the Learning Management System (LMS) underpinning The Skills Academy.
- Act as an escalation point for technology issues raised by the Service Centre.
- Oversee incident triage and ensure resolution performance measures are met.
- Maintain system configuration documents technical SOPs and version control.
- Partner with the Service Centre and Leadership team to identify areas of improvement.
- Lead the technical component of any continuous improvement initiatives.
- Implement performance dashboards for operational KPIs.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) platforms.
- Experience working with ServiceNow preferred.
- Knowledge of API integrations authentication methods and data exchange patterns.
- Strong reporting and analytics capability (PowerBI LMS reporting dashboards).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Experience working in Managed Services or learning operations.
- Highly organised with strong documentation capability.
- Analytical mindset with a focus on stability continuous improvement and user experience.
