Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Procedural Recovery and Short Stay Unit. This dept is located on the 2nd floor sharing space along side Cardiac Cath holding. This position is for a Temporary Full time Night Shift Traveler.
Department/Position Overview:
This position is for Nights - 3 12-hour shifts Mon-Fri no weekends.
We admit and prepare patients for their Cardiac Catheterization (interventional and diagnostic) Electrophysiology procedures such as cardiac ablations Cardioversions surgery and ICDs/Pacemakers etc. We also admit patients post procedure who are being watched overnight and discharged the next day.
The cardiac short stay unit will provide patient care until the patient is discharged or admitted for further observation.
The ideal candidate will have cardiac experience and be comfortable reading telemetry independently.
Nurse to patient ratio is 3/1 Monday through Thursday and 4/1 on Friday and Saturdays.
