St Hildas School Gold Coast invites applications for the following Sports Coach opportunities commencing February 2026. These positions typically involve up to 2 training sessions per week (before or after school) and game days on Friday or Saturday (depending on the sport) during term time.

We are seeking experienced passionate and dedicated Sports Coaches to join our thriving sporting program at St Hildas School. We are part of the Queensland Girls Secondary Schools Sports Association (QGSSSA) which is the leading Queensland sports association for secondary school girls. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and coach aspiring young women foster their love of sport and help them develop their skills confidence and belief thatshe can be anything.

About the Position

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Design and deliver high-quality coaching sessions that cater to varying skill levels and abilities
  • Develop age-appropriate training programs that focus on skill development teamwork and sportsmanship
  • Mentor and motivate students to achieve their personal best both on and off the field
  • Coordinate and attend sporting fixtures carnivals and competitions
  • Foster a positive inclusive sporting culture that encourages participation and celebrates effort
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sport Assistant Director of Sport and other coaches to support the schools broader sporting program
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students during training and competition.

About You

  • Relevant coaching qualifications in the sport you are applying for and at least 3 years coaching experience
  • Strong understanding of skill progression and age-appropriate training methods
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Commitment to promoting confidence resilience and leadership through sport
  • Understanding of the unique considerations in coaching girls and young women
  • Enthusiasm for creating an inclusive environment where all students feel valued
  • Genuine passion for coaching and motivating young women
  • High professional and ethical standards
  • Collaborative team player who contributes to school community.
