The Data Center Community is looking for an extraordinary individual with proven and tested leadership and management skills as a leader in our data center operations organization in Indiana as a Data Center Operations (DCO) Cluster Manager.
Data Center Operations Cluster Manager is one of our most senior management roles in the data center this role you will be responsible for leading a large organization managing department heads who own data center infrastructure including the operational availability of network and server systems at scale.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Data Center Managers (3-9 front-line supervisors depending on location) and 75-150 hourly associates within Regional Data Centers.
- Attainment of organizational performance goals and objectives relating to safety security availability scaling and efficiency in support of our data center operations.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and procedures.
- Accountability for meeting and exceeding operational goals.
- Strategic planning and forecasting; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; resolve problems; and address staffing needs.
- Obsess over team learning and development both from a technical/functional and soft skills (critical thinking emotional intelligence and adaptability) development perspective including mentoring and training.
- Develop improve and share operational best practices across the globe.
- Hiring managing and developing the operations management team including data center managers and data center operations technicians.
- Planning and executing the Infrastructure Operations component of new AWS data center build-outs new colocation build-outs AWS data center expansions and colocation expansions including the network and server rack infrastructure to facilitate the daily operations.
- Experience in successful insourcing and/or outsourcing specific task balancing internal skillsets with frugality.
- Continuous improvement of operational processes procedures methods and tools.

- Bachelors degree or 5 years of people management experience
- Experience in managing managers
- 3 years of change management experience
- Experience with technology risk IT security audit compliance and/or relevant regulatory knowledge
- Solid data mining / analytical skills.
- Knowledge of operating systems hardware storage network security database administration and cloud infrastructure
- Experience in capacity planning operations planning business analysis or equivalent
- Knowledge of continuously operating redundant electrical systems cooling systems air flow containment systems and building management systems
- Experience in project management including resource planning managing schedules reporting project status and prioritizing tasks

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
