Schedule: MondayFriday 8:50 AM 3:40 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay Rate: $45$48 per hour

Job Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SPED Autism Assistant to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a structured classroom setting. This role focuses on providing behavioral academic and social support to help students reach their individualized learning goals. The ideal candidate is patient observant and able to collaborate effectively with educators and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct classroom and transition support to students with autism

• Assist with implementation of IEP goals behavior intervention plans and individualized strategies

• Support communication emotional regulation and social skills development

• Reinforce classroom routines visual schedules and structured teaching methods

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed while ensuring student safety

• Collaborate with teachers therapists and support staff for consistent student support

• Maintain a calm organized and positive learning environment

• Document student behaviors progress and observations as required

• Supervise and support students during recess lunch specials and transitions

Qualifications

• Experience working with children especially those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred

• Background in special education support roles such as SPED Assistant Paraprofessional ABA Therapist or PCA is a plus

• Ability to follow instructional guidance and implement behavior support strategies

• Strong communication interpersonal and de-escalation skills

• Patient reliable and consistent in a structured educational environment

• Ability to commit to the full contract duration
