Job Title: Operations Manager
Overview:
Japanese Freight forwarding company is seeking an experienced Operations Manager with a strong background in air and ocean cargo operations (10 years of experience). The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who can effectively manage day-to-day logistics operations and a local team of 2030 members.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage a local team (2030 employees)
Oversee daily air and ocean cargo handling and warehouse operations
Ensure safe effecient and timely cargo processing and delivery
Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to maintain smooth operations
Make travel decisions to other domestic sites as needed (no overseas travel)
Maintain compliance with company and industry standards
Report to senior management on operational performance and improvements
Requirements:
10 years of experience in air and ocean cargo or logistics operations
Proven experience managing operational teams
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Comfortable working in a Japanese business culture (Japanese language not required)
On-site position (no remote work)
Minimal overtime required

Salary: $75000 $85000 per year
