Qualifications:
Experience: 1-2 years administrative or clerical
Education: High School/G.E.D (AA degree or higher preferred)
Basic Skills:
Critical Thinking Active Listening Active Learning
Social Skills:
Cultural Sensitivity Patience Service Orientation
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Office Suite (or similar)
Proprietary Inventory System (on the job training)
Work Context:
Working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
Repetitive movement: bending typing walking reaching
English communication: written and spoken (spoken Spanish or Japanese helpful)
Maintaining professional attitude dealing with customers vendors and peers
Coordinating and communicating with management and peers
Attention to detail & precision
Meeting strict deadlines
Responsibility for work outcomes and results
Maintaining alertness in hectic warehouse and office environments
Lifting/Carrying up to 50 lbs.
Heavy use of office equipment (phones computers scanners fax etc.)
Working with others to accomplish tasks
Making decisions that impact co-workers clients and the company
Responsibility for the health and safety of others
Tasks:
Administer compliance programs relating to DOT requirements
Verify drivers log books daily reports and payroll documents
Schedule deliveries/pickups shipping and receiving
Scan and submit log books to 3rd party DOT compliance monitor
Verify accuracy of warehouse employees work and update it to the system
Verify and correct slotting of dry/cooler area for precise inventory recording
Verify and report close-dated and expired merchandise for inventory rotation
Report to Managers on FIFO (First-in first-out) status
Answer questions disseminate and explain information as appropriate
Compile check copy sort research send and file records
Maintain and update filing mailing and database systems
Deliver messages and run errands as needed
Assist warehouse management with miscellaneous administrative tasks
Work Activities:
Organizing planning and prioritizing work
Classifying information according to content and purpose
Using computers to enter access and retrieve data
Examining documents/data for completeness accuracy and form
Preparing and maintaining records reports and files
Providing customer service
Greeting and attending to vendors and visitors
Establishing and maintaining interpersonal and business relationships
Attending staff meetings
Making decisions and solving problems
