Description/Job Summary
SAFETY SENSITIVE POSITION
Schedule: 12 hour rotating swing shift (4 days 7:00a.m. to 7:00p.m. 4 days off 4 nights 7:00p.m. to 7:00a.m. 4 nights off) including overtime as needed.
Job Summary: Responsible for inspecting products according to specification documenting results of analysis and notifying supervisor and management of out-of-specification results. Will also collect inspect and grade samples according to physical appearance (defects) and perform moisture checks operate other lab equipment- oil analyzer milling/whiteness reader conduct milling yields and running lab shelling and milling equipment.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be able to work and communicate in a timely manner with mill personnel.
- Must be able to work with a team but also work independently and be self-disciplined. (At nights this may be the only on-site QC person reliability is a must.
- Must possess basic math skills. (add subtract multiply divide)
- Must be able to read speak write and understand the English language fluently.
- Must be able to climb up to 20 feet.
- Must be able to Lift up to 100 lbs.
- Must be able to bend stoop push pull twist and turn throughout the day.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be willing and able to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Must be willing and able to follow all Safety and Food Safety rules.
- Other duties assigned by supervisor.
