Joliet Slammers Promotions Internship (Summer 2026)

The Joliet Slammers are Joliets hometown professional baseball team competing in the Frontier League a Partner League of Major League Baseball. Were dedicated to delivering unforgettable experiences for our fans throughout the city of Joliet and the greater Chicagoland area. The right individual will play a key role in upholding and elevating that standard across all departments.
Position Overview: The Joliet Slammers are seeking enthusiastic self-motivated students to be a part of the 2025 season. As an intern you will obtain first-hand experience in the entire operation of a successful professional baseball franchise. A promotion intern would primarily be focused on ensuring the Slammers fans have a wonderful experience by providing exciting & engaging promotions throughout the season via on-field games theme nights customer service community outreach and other opportunities across the organization.
Every day is different but a typical day might include:
- Represent the Joliet Slammers organization partners and sponsors with professionalism pride and enthusiasm at all times
- Display outstanding teamwork communication skills and an energetic personality
- Planning and executing all aspects of promotions and associated tasks
- Theme nights on-field entertainment production and more
- Assisting with the creation of in-game entertainment especially pertaining to theme nights
- Willing to put yourself out there
- Dancing cheering engaging with the crowd
- Assisting with production setup for each game
- Assisting with PA scripts video board music etc
- Assisting with stocking cleaning inventory etc
- Attending various community events/parades
- Help with the day-to-day function of the organization. You may be asked to do several tasks; its part of the all-inclusive experience!
The ideal candidate:
- Are currently attending college
- Are able to work all 51 home games and additional off-site events
- Strong attention to detail & organizational skills
- Have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced multi-task work environment
- Have superior oral communication. Writing and editing skills
- Are highly motivated with a strong work ethic
- Strong desire to work in a team environment
