Montgomery County Public Schools in Virginia is now accepting applications for All In High-Intensity Tutors to work on a temporary basis in schools throughout the division. Individual work assignments will be at one specific school. Work schedules will vary depending on the needs of each individual school.
Current MCPS employees do not need to apply online. Employees should inform their principal of their interest.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To develop and implement an instructional program that will effectively provide high-intensity academic tutoring to students in grades 3-8 that are at risk or not proficient based on statewide assessment results.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to facilitate strong positive relationships with students and understand students learning needs in math and reading
- Incorporate progress monitoring into tutoring sessions in order to track student learning progress
- Possess effective reading writing and computation skills
- Possess effective oral and written communication skills
- Possess the personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students teachers and parents
- Ability to navigate online platforms
- Acceptance of flexible work schedule
- Dependability and punctuality required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Hold or be eligible to hold a current teaching license in the State of Virginia
