Maintenance Asset Health Controller Dawson Mine

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Asset Health Controller to monitor and analyse real-time machine condition data at our Dawson Mine based in Moura this role you will be at the forefront of our preventative maintenance strategy diagnosing faults guiding operators in the field and ensuring that maintenance issues are addressed before escalating into costly downtime. This role reports directly to the Maintenance Superintendent: Engineering and works closely with Dispatch Mine Controllers Reliability Engineers and Maintenance Personnel.

In this site-based staff role the Maintenance Asset Health Controller will work from the dispatch centre to monitor asset health data and will work closely with the Dispatch Mine Controllers. There are multiple opportunities available for a 24-7 functional team positioned in alignment with each of the four crews.

As the Maintenance Asset Health Controller the key responsibilities are:

• Real-Time Monitoring & Analysis: Remotely monitor (onsite) machine condition data throughout the shift and promptly act on asset health system alerts to prevent unplanned downtime.
• Fault Diagnosis & Resolution: Quickly diagnose emerging electrical and mechanical faults and provide clear actionable guidance to field operators for timely resolution.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate closely with equipment operators Dispatch Controllers and maintenance personnel to prioritize issues and implement effective maintenance solutions.
• Preventative Maintenance & Safety: Drive initiatives to reduce component failures eliminate recurring faults and ensure a safe operating environment for all personnel.
• Workflow Optimization: Adjust maintenance schedules and document activities contributing to the continuous improvement of maintenance processes across our fleet.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate will have:

• Trade Qualification relevant to Process (mechanical or electrical); or Tertiary qualification relevant to Process; or Advanced Diploma relevant to Process.
• RIIRIS301 Apply the Risk Management Process.
• RIIWHS301 Conduct Safety and Health Investigations.
• RIICOM301 Communicate Information.
• RIIRIS402 Carry out Risk Management Process (G2).
• Legislation and Risk Management training.
• Experience with asset health monitoring systems computerized maintenance management or fleet management software (Komatsu MineCare).
• Knowledge of condition monitoring techniques (e.g. vibration analysis thermography oil analysis) and application in preventative maintenance programs.
• Strong computer literacy with the ability and desire to quickly learn and adapt to new systems.
• A keenness to troubleshoot and apply your knowledge and experience off the tools.
• Ability to quickly analyse data in a fast-paced environment and respond accordingly.
• Excellent communication negotiation and problem-solving skills with experience working under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Prior exposure to shift work environments including nights and weekends.
