About the job: Chief Nursing Services Manager Makati Dayshift
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Leadership and Oversight of Nursing Operations
- Provides centralized leadership and direction to nurse supervisors and the nursing workforce deployed across all care clinics.
- Implements organizational goals by translating them into nursing operations and clinical workflows that promote efficient safe and compassionate care.
- Coordinates with cluster heads and clinic managers to ensure streamlined nursing service delivery and uniform policy enforcement.
- Governance and Clinical Protocols
- Develops reviews and enforces nursing clinical care standards aligned with the organizations clinical governance framework.
- Ensures that all nurses comply with updated national standards protocols and internal guidelines (e.g. IV therapy certification minor surgical assistance protocols and triaging standards).
- Takes the lead in integrating nursing roles in the implementation of clinical decision trees and care pathways for primary care.
- Workforce Planning and Staffing
- Conducts regular nursing manpower audits and works with HR and physician engagement to deploy appropriately skilled nurses per clinic size service mix and patient load.
- Oversees duty scheduling reliever pool utilization and succession planning for nurse leaders.
- Implements workload balancing and productivity tracking mechanisms for nursing staff.
- Patient Safety and Quality Assurance
- Leads initiatives on patient safety infection control and incident reporting across all clinics.
- Works closely with the Medical Ethics and Governance Committee to ensure nursing practices support ethical care delivery and avoid preventable harm.
- Oversees implementation and audit of hand hygiene sterilization protocols adverse event management and safe injection practices.
- Performance Monitoring and Patient Satisfaction
- Tracks clinical nursing KPIs (e.g. patient throughput triage accuracy compliance with documentation standards).
- Leads nursing-focused RCA reviews in sentinel events and escalates systemic concerns to the Medical Director.
- Professional Development and Training
- Develops and implements a continuing professional development (CPD) program for nurses (aligned with the internal Training Academy).
- Supervises the rollout of new skills training such as ECG tracing telehealth facilitation and data encoding for EMR.
- Ensures competency-based leveling and credentialing of nurses in collaboration with the Learning and Development Team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serves as the primary liaison between the nursing services and the medical director ensuring alignment in clinical care strategies.
- Participates in executive meetings involving service expansions clinic accreditation and cross-partnership reviews.
- Contributes to the development of care plans and service bundling for ECU/ACU ensuring nursing inputs are integrated into medical program design.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Nursing; Licensed and Registered Nurse in the Philippines
- A masters degree in nursing Healthcare Administration or equivalent is preferred
- At least 5 years of clinical nursing experience with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or management role
- Good English communication skills
- Proven track record in outpatient clinical governance nursing protocol development and staff supervision
- Strong analytical leadership and communication skills
- Exposure to HMO ambulatory care or multisite operations is an advantage
