Summary

POSITION INFORMATION
- Position summary:
  - The Echo Tech performs cardiac ultrasonography specifically echocardiograms stress echos and transesophageal echos (TEEs) in various settings including inpatient outpatient ED and intraoperative. He/she supports the operation of the CVS Department including processing reports scheduling patients and providing back-up to Cardiovascular Techs (performing EKGs and stress testing). The Echo Tech also participates in the on-call rotation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
  - High school diploma and successful completion of an accredited echocardiography training program.
- Required length and type of experience:
  - 1 year of clinical experience or successful completion of an accredited echocardiography training program.
- Required licensure certification or registry:
  - Registered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiac Specialist (RCS) OR registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) OR registry eligibly with agreement to pass registry within 1 year of employment.
