Job Summary
Overview
Under the direction of the Activity Coordinator and program Chief conducts activities for patients.
Responsibilities
-Runs effective Activity Therapy groups.
-Is therapeutic one-to-one contacts with patient.
-Transmits information in a clear and timely manner to the charts.
-Maintains a current and varied knowledge base on therapeutic techniques.
-Assists in organizing and maintaining equipment and supplies.
-Regularly communicates effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.
-Utilizes supervisory and peer feedback to improve work performance.
-Supervises students when assigned.
Qualifications
-MA degree in a mental field related to Occupational Recreational Creative Arts and/or Vocational Rehabilitation with/or eligible for certification registration and/or license.
-Certified Therapeutic Recreation Therapist (C.T.R.S.).
