The Department of Medicine is seeking a Geriatrician to service both sites who would have access to available resources in the Geriatric Clinic located at Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital. The successful candidate will be working with a strong supportive and collegial group of colleagues in a two-site community hospital organization committed to providing high quality comprehensive clinical services.

Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be willing to work within interdisciplinary teams.

Skills Abilities Experience

  • Provide timely assessments of hospital geriatric consults at both Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital and Mackenzie Richmond Hill Hospital.
  • Provide an equal share of weekend call coverage.
  • Support outpatient geriatric referrals from the Emergency Departments.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member within a group environment.
  • Proven attendance record.
  • Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Healths Commitment to Caring.

Education Certification License

  • Medical degree approved by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) required.
  • Post Graduate training in Geriatrics.
  • Certification in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (FRCSC).
  • Canadian Medical Protection Association or equivalent in good standing
