Primary responsibility is to assist special education students.2. Under supervision of the Special Education teachers:Adapt/modify lessons and classroom activities in accordance with the students current communications between resource and regular classroom the teachers instruction by assisting in planning modifying and implementing curriculum instruction and assessment according to the specific needs of the the teacher in creating and maintaining an instructional environment that is conducive to appropriate student behaviors by assisting with discipline motivation and behavior behavior management procedures and prescribed consequences for student with individual students or small groups of students on prescribed educational specials with students as determined by TEAM or specialist data as specified and required.3. Follow student specific guidelines for:Respond to physical needs of student(s) including positioning lifting and self-help individual students with personal care such as toileting issues and feeding or teaching of utensil the Norfolk Public Schools Restraint the Norfolk Public Schools Crisis Intervention using home/school communication logs use form that was agreed upon with liaison.4. Demonstrate professionalism in the school confidentialityWork collaboratively and contribute to a positive school CPI training if appropriate channels for resolving concerns by seeing the classroom teacher or childs in professional development programsAssist in maintaining classroom areas as assigned duties such as bus duty lunch and/or recess responsible on-time professional demeanor.
