General Summary
Performs a variety of general and specialized cleaning tasks to maintain patient rooms offices hallways and other assigned areas of the hospital. Assists in the environmental services department as needed to lift move and relocate furniture furnishings equipment etc.
ResponsibilitiesDuties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Performs duties of the Environmental Services Technician I.
- Buffs strips waxes and polishes floors.
- Moves furniture and other heavy objects as required.
- Moves removes and relocates furniture furnishings equipment etc. as directed.
- Shampoos rugs and furniture. Cleans vents fans and other equipment using vacuum machines.
- Operates mechanical floor cleaners polishers and vacuums.
- Sets up chairs and tables etc. for special events and folds and stores them after the event.
- Moves large items in and out of storage.
- Performs custodial/housekeeping duties as assigned when not involved in moving projects.
- Assists in handing drapes and dividers and takes them down for cleaning.
Common Expectations:
- Maintains established policies and procedures objectives quality assessment safety environmental and infection control standards.
- Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
- Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation.
- Attends meetings as required.
