Title: Senior Level Accounting Consultant
Location: Austin TX hybrid in office
Job Type: Contract (2-3 months)
Hourly Rate: Market
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Controller Chief Accounting Officer and finance leadership
- Support month-end close activities including preparation and posting of journal entries in Oracle
- Perform and/or assist with balance sheet reconciliations and related variance analysis
- Provide ad hoc FP&A support including building templates and schedules and preparing analyses in Excel
- Assist with special projects such as financial analysis for potential acquisition targets
- Deliver clear status updates and documentation to leadership
Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle (ability to navigate post entries pull reports)
- Advanced Excel skills (building models/schedules; strong comfort with large datasets)
- FP&A exposure a plus (budgeting/forecasting support variance analysis)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently prioritize and deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines
- Comfortable with both detailed work (journal entries account reconciliations) and higher-level analysis
- Experience supporting organizations in transition (PE-backed acquired or fast-changing environments) is a plus
- Flexible as priorities change
