The Saw Belt and Sub-Assembly position is responsible for producing subassemblies and assemble the belts and chains quickly and accurately quality evaluations on all products built resolving questions on drawings and belt sheets with the appropriate departments plan various operations required to build belts and chains accurately and economically. Qualifications - Dedication to excellence and a quality output
- Ability to set-up and run pin cutter drill fixture and press milling machine spot welder saws and the iron worker
- Ability to make quality MIG welds
Responsibilities - Promote excellence throughout the department
- Maintain a safe and clean work area
- Read write and interpret belt/chain sheets and simple blueprints
- Read vendor packing lists and verify proper part number
- Track and requisition consumable and production stock supplies
- Stocking inventory in proper locations on a timely basis
- Work effectively without supervision
- Help in the saw area as required
- Perform other tasks as required by the supervisor
Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing walking bending kneeling stooping crouching crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
