Bay Ridge Assisted Living is a small 44-unit Assisted Living and Memory Care community serving a stable low-acuity resident population. Our size allows for a more personal approach to care consistent routines and meaningful relationships with residents and families.

Bay Ridge offers a calmer work environment with manageable clinical demands. Residents are well known to the care team and the pace of work allows to focus on oversight coordination and quality rather than constant admissions or high-intensity medical care.

The Resident Services Coordinator works closely with the Administrator and leadership team to support daily operations and resident care. This role is well suited for a nurse who values structure consistency and collaboration in a smaller community setting.

Position Overview

The Resident Services Coordinator (RSC) is a licensed nurse (LPN or RN) responsible for overseeing resident care services and ensuring compliance with State of Michigan licensing requirements. This position oversees clinical services medication management and resident service planning while working in partnership with the Administrator to meet the goals and objectives of the community.

In the absence of the Administrator the RSC is responsible for supporting the overall operation of the building to ensure continuity of care and services.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical and Resident Care

  • Oversee and coordinate resident services in accordance with individual service plans
  • Conduct and coordinate personal service assessments upon move-in and periodically throughout residency
  • Oversee medication administration and ensure accurate documentation through eMAR
  • Ensure appropriate documentation of medical histories physician orders resident observations and task completion
  • Review resident medical and social histories for completeness and accuracy
  • Communicate with families physicians therapists and outside service providers as needed
  • Monitor resident incidents falls pressure areas and infection prevention efforts
  • Conduct weekly reviews of incident and fall reports
  • Participate in resident transitions to and from hospitals or rehabilitation facilities as needed
  • Ensure dietary orders are communicated to the Culinary Services department
  • Complete required charting and medical documentation including insurance-related forms

Management and Leadership

  • Provide supervision and leadership to Resident Services personnel
  • Assist with hiring training and termination of staff in accordance with company policy and under the direction of the Administrator
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels using the scheduling system
  • Conduct employee evaluations and provide performance feedback
  • Support compliance with all federal state and local regulations
  • Ensure adherence to company policies procedures and the Corporate Operations Manual
  • Support budget compliance related to labor and clinical supplies
  • Ensure accuracy of resident levels of care

Qualifications

  • Active LPN or RN license in the State of Michigan
  • Experience working with older adults; dementia experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medication management and ability to support staff education
  • Strong communication skills including electronic documentation
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Compassion and professionalism when working with residents and families
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain
  • Ability to pass state-mandated background screening and drug testing
