Location: Cooperstown NY 13326
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Days
Schedule: 312-hour shifts (07:00 AM 07:00 PM)
Travel Pay Range: $55$58/hour
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) to join a high-performing surgical team in a fast-paced hospital environment. The OR Tech will support surgeons and perioperative staff by preparing sterile fields managing instruments and equipment and maintaining strict adherence to aseptic and safety standards. This role is vital to ensuring smooth safe and efficient surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
Perform scrubbing duties for diverse surgical cases in accordance with established protocols.
Prepare organize and maintain sterile fields instrument tables and surgical equipment.
Handle and manage instruments supplies medications specimens and instrument trays accurately.
Assist with operating room setup turnover and post-procedure cleanup.
Collaborate effectively with surgeons nurses anesthesia staff and other OR personnel.
Maintain proper sterile technique and comply with all infection prevention and safety regulations.
Inspect and ensure all instruments and equipment are functioning and available for use.
Support overall OR workflow contributing to efficiency and patient safety initiatives.
Qualifications
Prior experience as an OR Tech or Surgical Technologist preferred.
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent (as required by state/facility).
Strong understanding of aseptic technique surgical instruments and OR procedures.
Excellent communication teamwork and critical-thinking skills.
Reliable detail-focused and able to anticipate surgical team needs.
