The Associate Scientist I will report to the Senior Manager of Analytical Development and operate jointly within the Bio-Pharmaceutical Services (BPS) and Research and Development (R&D) teams for Cytivas Nucleic Acid and Nanomedicine Business Unit (BU). This role is ideal for a BSc scientist with a background in bioanalytical characterization who thrives in a dynamic innovation-driven environment. You will play a key role in developing and optimizing analytical methods to support the advancement of Lipid Nanoparticle (LNP) formulations nanomedicines and nucleic acid therapies. This role will be full time onsite at our Nanomedicines located in Vancouver BC Canada.

What youll do:

• Perform advanced and specialized bio-analytical techniques including but not limited to UHPLC-CAD UHPLC-PDA SEC CE and LC-MS to provide insights into nanomaterials such as Lipid Nanoparticles (LNPs) liposomes or polymeric nanoparticles under the supervision of senior associates
• Support the routine analytical testing of internal and client nanoparticles and raw materials
• Oversee the operation maintenance and troubleshooting of liquid chromatography mass spectrometry and/or capillary electrophoresis instrumentation
• Contribute to efficient lab operations such as record keeping inventory management resource allocation procurement and associate training
• Maintain appropriate lab records and documentation.

Who you are:

• BSc in Biochemistry Chemistry Pharmacy or related field with a minimum 1 years industry experience or equivalent.
• Familiarity with HPLC- (UV CAD) SEC-HPLC LC-MS LC-HRMS SDS PAGE and/or CE.
• Experience with analytical method development and assay suitability testing as per ICH/ FDA/ EMA guidelines
• Technical understanding of biomolecules (E.g. Nucleic Acids proteins mABs) lipid and excipient (Buffersstabilizers etc.) chemistry ideally relating to Lipid Nanoparticles

The salary range for this role is $CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
