General Summary
Performs routine and specialized diagnostic and technical radiographic procedures at an intermediate skill level.
ResponsibilitiesDuties and Responsibilities
- Performs radiographic examinations; obtains patient history explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
- Able to perform more complex operating room procedures as well as fluoroscopic and overhead procedures and more complex portable exams if applicable to the location of outpatient center.
- Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
- Properly processes images using digital technology. Able to resolve exceptions in PACs and EHR systems and has the ability to cancel unnecessary orders upon request of providers(site specific)
- Positions and transfers patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure.
- Immobilizes patients as necessary and practices radiation safety procedures.
- Evaluates recorded images for technical quality. consistently maintains a repeat rate under 5%.
- Participates in and collaborates with other departments on projects to improve care and efficiency as needed.
- Demonstrates leadership skills with capability of taking on a charge role if needed.
- Participates in and collaborates with other departments on projects to improve care and efficiency as needed; participates in at least 1 project including but not limited to: equipment QA (monthly quarterly testing) creating standards of work engagement committee.
- Becomes proficient in optional cross-trained skills(site specific) of EKGs and/or phlebotomy.

Work Experience:
- 2 years Relevant experience. Required
Licenses:
- Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
- Registered Technologist-Cardiac Interventional Radiology - ARRT Upon Hire Required or
- Registered Technologist-Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology - ARRT Upon Hire Required or
- Registered Technologist-Radiation Therapy - ARRT Upon Hire Required or
- Registered Technologist-Radiography - ARRT Upon Hire Required or
- Registered Technologist-Vascular Interventional Radiology - ARRT Upon Hire Required
