VanDriver/Maintenance Coordinator
PositionSummary
The Van Driver/Maintenance coordinatorsthe primary purpose is to maintain the grounds facility and equipment in a safeand efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal state andlocal guidelines and regulations a facility established policies and proceduresand as may be directed by your supervisor to assure that a successfula maintenance program is maintained at all times. The maintenance coordinator isresponsible to meet or exceed all resident and visitors expectations. TheThe maintenance coordinator will be energetic and will combine applicableprofessional knowledge with strong organizational interpersonal andcommunication skills.
EssentialFunctions:
The following list of duties includesprimary responsibilities but is not all-inclusive:
- Receive and follow maintenanceschedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our establishedmaintenance policies and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance on groundsparking areas driveways etc.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair onthe facility and equipment to include plumbing plastering electricalcarpentry mechanical etc. as directed in accordance with establishedprocedures.
- Clean windows and screens as directed.
- Replace burned-out light bulks toinclude exit lights overhead lights fluorescent lights and room calllights and perform cleaning duties whenever necessary.
- Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks asdirected by supervisor.
- Be in an on-call rotation for nightsweekends and emergencies in conjunction with the maintenance staff at thefacility.
- Transport residents to and fromappointments as scheduled.
- Promotes the facility philosophy of careand mission statement.
- Communicate any vehicle maintenance needs to the Maintenance Manager
SpecificRequirements:
- Ability to read writes speak andunderstand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to makeindependent decisions to follow instructions and accept constructivecriticism.
- Must possess the ability to dealtactfully with personnel residents family members and visitors.
- Must have the ability to minimize wasteof supplies.
- Must be able to follow written and oralinstructions.
- Ability to comprehend and practicegenerally recognized safety principles and procedures.
- Ability to effectively listen and communicatewith others.
- Ability to remain pleasant cheerfultactful respectful and courteous when interacting with Residents Visitorsand other Employees.
- Ability to remain levelheaded and calm inemergencies.
- Ability to cooperate with other personneland resolve interpersonal conflicts independently or with minimal assistance.
- Ability to treat information asconfidential material.
- Willingness to accept suggestions anddirection from the supervisor or their designee.
Educationand Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience preferred but not required onthe job training provided.
- At least 18 (eighteen) years of age and avalid Maine drivers license.
