Rental Sales Manager Scotland / Northern Region

Location: Scotland

Were expanding our commercial team and looking for a driven Rental Sales Manager to lead rental growth across the Northern Region. This role suits someone who thrives in a technical sales environment understands complex customer challenges and knows how to navigate Tier 1 contractors utilities and industrial markets with confidence.

About the Role

Youll take ownership of developing new business strengthening existing customer relationships and positioning Xylems rental solutions to solve real-world water challenges. Expect a mix of strategic planning hands-on customer engagement and commercial execution all with the aim of growing market share and supporting long-term partnerships.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Managing and developing a strong portfolio of customers and prospects across Scotland and the Northern Region.

  • Building influential relationships with Tier 1 contractors utilities and key stakeholders.

  • Understanding customer requirements and aligning them with the right technical solution from our rental portfolio.

  • Proactively identifying new opportunities delivering quotations/tenders and driving consistent pipeline growth.

  • Translating market insight competitor activity and customer feedback into actionable sales strategies.

  • Maintaining accurate CRM records ensuring visibility of opportunities funnels and account plans.

  • Partnering with internal teams and third-party contractors to deliver best-in-class customer outcomes.

What You Bring

  • A bachelors degree in a technical or commercial field or equivalent experience.

  • 35 years in technical industrial or solution-based sales (water or utilities background advantageous).

  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to quickly grasp complex technical solutions.

  • Proven success in account development strategic sales planning and closing opportunities.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across customer types and levels.

  • Full UK driving licence (Category B).

  • Fluent English written and spoken.
