General Information:
For current JMU undergraduates only. This part-time job working in the advertising department at The Breeze JMUs student-run news organization entails using software such as Adobe InDesign Photoshop and Illustrator on Mac-based systems to create new advertisements based on the ideas presented by the advertising team and clients develop interesting and effective advertising campaigns and electronically place advertisements into pages in coordination with the newspapers managing editor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The advertising creative director will also assign tasks to advertising designers as well as promote communication and conflict resolution among advertising designers. The advertising creative director will be responsible for coordinating schedules for last-minute advertisement creation and placement and will check over all
camera-ready advertisements for publication. The advertising creative director must also be able to assist in troubleshooting problems in electronic submissions and page layout.

Students must be degree-seeking students enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).
