ROLE SUMMARY
The Business Engagement Lead role is responsible for overseeing stakeholder management & supplier performance management for Global Small Molecule Operations and Local Site Operations. They are responsible for leading a globally distributed team of procurement professionals in support of the GSM-LSO site network. They are responsible for supporting stakeholders by engaging in key internal / external stakeholder discussions and / or routing requests to S2P team members developing cost optimization from our purchased materials and for managing supplier performance process & supplier development programs to maximize value for Pfizer stakeholders.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Stakeholder Management
- Oversee and ensure that voice of the customer and supplier requirements are captured in the category strategy development process
- Address issues and manage expectations that may arise while managing internal / external stakeholder discussions across the GSM-LSO plant network
- Partner with key stakeholders to develop and implement sourcing strategies that support business objectives and deliver value
- Influence collaboration with internal stakeholders including business leaders and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop sourcing strategies that align with company goals and objectives
- Oversee and manage the core processes needed to coordinate across multiple GSM-LSO sites and stakeholders
- Manage stakeholder spend of $0.4Bn for multiple direct material categories
- Provide input from and connectivity to stakeholders in the Category Strategy development process
Operational/Financial Excellence
- Oversee and monitor initiatives that optimize costs through strategic sourcing identify and evaluate suppliers negotiate favorable pricing and track cost savings achieved
- Lead initiatives to identify areas of process improvement and implement these initiatives to achieve cost savings increase productivity and enhance supplier performance
- Ensuring clear understanding of business priorities is communicated with key Category and Services teams
- Oversee and manages TPRM Process Execution
Supplier Performance Management
- Oversee and manage supply issues / corrective actions with suppliers to maximize value for Pfizer stakeholder
- Build strong relationships with key suppliers and foster a culture of collaboration accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee supplier operational interactions and metrics discussions from case-to-case basis identify areas for improvement supplier change and supplier process change approval time
- Drive supplier innovation by providing inputs on new products technologies and processes that can deliver exceptional value to Pfizer
- Monitor supplier SLA compliance and oversee supplier action plans as needed
People Management & Development where applicable
- Oversee a team of 20 resources across multiple locations
- Lead manage develop and coach direct reports focused on global spend categories and in-market sourcing support with suppliers of goods and / or services to major internal stakeholders / functions and create a team environment that drives high colleague engagement
- Support Pfizers Diversity and Inclusion objectives as applicable

- Manages over $0.4B in collective spend from stakeholders
- Supports multiple PGS Direct Materials categories of high complexity
- Has business stakeholder ownership responsibilities for 16 PGS sites
- Manages business stakeholder relationships of high complexity

- Has people management responsibilities with an overall team size of 20
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of bachelors degree in business Operations & Supply Chain Management or a related discipline
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing complex cross-functional projects
- Strong business operations acumen and client engagement and customer relationship management skills
- Experience managing and leading cross-functional teams
- Breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact
- Familiarity with supplier landscape (by category as relevant)
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to procurement
- Ability to engage with senior executives to influence decisions
- Comfort with ambiguity & ability to identify innovative sourcing strategies
- Strong financial acumen (ex. scenario planning and forecasting)
- Effective project management & communications skills
- Adept at working with colleagues in multiple geographically and culturally diverse locations
- Business English required

- Years of Experience: 15 years of experience in sourcing & procurement (13 yrs for MBA/MS)
- Strong experience representing the voice of the supplier
- Track record of success in building strong partnerships and connections with business leaders
- Experience in identifying cost savings and process improvements opportunities
- Experience in managing the procurement team and managing performance
- Experience in performing supplier management
Knowledge
- Driver of business & S2P strategic priorities (category service and other initiatives)
- Strong understanding of S2P value proposition
- Timely accurate and proactive communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to drive coordination between suppliers Business / Function & stakeholders as well as to drive innovation
- Knowledge of key industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Familiarity with procurement software and systems
- Strong understanding of the supplier landscape (by category as relevant)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or masters degree in strategy management or related field is a plus
- Similar procurement/Sourcing experience with similar global organization
- Certifications preferred: CPSM CPM PMP MCIPS

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169700.00 to $282900.00. In addition this position is eligible for participation in Pfizers Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
