Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a Systems Integration and Test Engineer to support the Alaska Automation Capability (AAC) and Future Flight Services Program (FFSP) contracts with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role serves as a member of our test team and is responsible for integrating and testing software that provides flight planning and other services to the pilot community.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design develop and execute test plans test cases and test procedures to verify software functionality performance and compliance with requirements in an Agile environment.

Debug system level issues and provide detailed supporting data on identified issues

Document and track system defects and verify fixes

Able to understand System Level Requirements

Learn system architecture design functions and capabilities to support the integration and test of the new capabilities and enhancements

Perform system checkouts in physical and virtual test labs to ensure system is properly configured and ready for testing.

Execute manual and automated regression test procedure after software modification

Execute manual and automated adaptation regression procedures every 26 and 56 days

Execute manual and automated patch regression procedures monthly

Work in a team-oriented collaborative environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education with 8 years of professional experience; or 6 years of professional experience with a related masters degree
  • Ability to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer.
  • Experience in following a documented Integration and Test Development Process
  • Experience in the use of UNIX and Linux operating systems
  • Strong integration skills with hands-on experience integrating large software complex systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface with internal and external customers

Desired Skills:

  • Air Traffic Control and Flight Service Experience
  • Transportation Solutions engineering process experience
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
