IT Engineer AIX (m/f/d)
For REWE digital Spain a subsidiary of the REWE Group located at Parque Tecnológico de Andalucia (PTA) in Malaga we are looking for an IT Engineer AIX. As the central solution provider for information and telecommunications systems in REWE Digital Spain we plan develop configure and operate efficient systems and applications for the REWE Group one of the leading trade and tourism groups in Germany and Europe with around 390000 employees.
Our team of over 2200 IT specialists sets standards for IT implementation in the retail industry and develops new technologies for the sector. Currently we manage more than 80 logistics centers 100 wide area network cables and over 23000 local network connections to ensure continuous data supply to the 32000 scanner check-out desks in more than 7500 stores.
The functional area is the part of REWE Digital that is responsible for the central planning installation and operation of IT infrastructures. The department manages the server systems for the REWE Group in Germany. You can expect a highly modern infrastructure with continuous development.
What you will do:
You take on interesting and exciting tasks in a motivated team working in an agile way
Planning and executing the software lifecycle on the AIX infrastructure (pSeries VIOS LPARs)
Ensuring stable operations
Capacity management for CPU memory and I/O resources on the hardware CEC
Continuous optimization and automation (scripting Ansible) of the entire AIX platform
Supporting and advising internal customers
What you will bring:
An analytical and independent way of working as well as enjoyment of working in an agile environment and within a team
A completed degree in computer science or vocational training in an IT field
Several years of experience in building operating and managing the lifecycle of IBM pSeries enterprise systems with AIX VIOS and HMC
Experience with performance analysis on the IBM Power platform
Ideally good knowledge of SAN/storage and network/LDAP
Readiness to learn new things and continuously develop yourself
Willingness to participate in on-call duty and flexibility for evening or weekend work
Good English skills as required by our company language
