FACULTY OF BUSINESS
The UNB Saint John Faculty of Business (FOB) offers a 12-month intensive MBA program and a Bachelor of Business program with industry backed specializations numerous experiential learning opportunities and a CWIL accredited co-op program. The faculty in collaboration with other UNB units manages admissions program advising student engagement experiential learning curriculum development alumni relations and community engagement.

Full-time (2-year) Term Saint John (Uptown MBA Building) Hybrid

Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri 8:15 am - 4:30 pm 36.25 hours per week
Salary Range: $52048 - $67659 per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to Director MBA & Chair Applied Research in Sales the Atlantic Sales Performance Hub (ASPH) Communication and Events Coordinator will support the communications activities driving the collection and dissemination of knowledge at the heart of the ASPH including daily preparation and publication of digital content related to the research problem solutions being addressed through the Chair coordination of webinars and physical events and the recruitment and client management of hub members.
- Design plan and execute project activities in support of Hub communication objectives.
- Research options regional needs and competitive activities to develop draft proposals budgets and timelines of projects/programs to recommend to the Chair and the Dean.
- Disseminate research knowledge in support of increasing the selling capabilities of Hub members.
- Develop project/program success criteria for review and approval by the Chair.
- Provide weekly updates on the status of all project/program related activities including timelines expenses and advising the Chair of any obstacles or challenges.
- Coordinate and execute project/program deliverables on time and on budget.
- Collect relevant research content for dissemination prepare all communication materials design edit and schedule publications.
- Liaise with stakeholders including research scholars industry speakers virtual/physical event suppliers event participants.
- Conduct project/program post-mortem analysis to evaluate the success of the project/program and present results to various stakeholders as required.
- Oversee and balance overall project/program budget.
- Develop and maintain relevant relationships with potential Hub prospects and members.
- Work with UNB Finance to issue Hub-membership invoices where applicable and monitor member payment status.
- Track member recruitment and retention success by collecting data running summary reports and presenting results to the Chair.
- Supervise student staff and confirm their work schedule and hours.
- Prepare a list of event-related duties for student staff for review and approval by the Chair.
- Provide feedback on activities as required.
- Monitor work attendance and hours worked with the Chair for time sheet preparation.
WHAT YOU BRING
- University degree in marketing with a digital marketing focus.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in coordinating marketing projects as well as digital marketing and communications content creation.
- Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience for events or programs.
- Experience using LinkedIn and/or social media aggregators like Hubspot.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Additional Strengths
- Experienced in using digital content creation software like Canva.
- Experience in using LinkedIn Sales Navigator as a prospecting tool for promotional targeting.
- Event management experience.
- Strong writing and oral communication skills and the ability to speak effectively 1:1 with people at any level in an organization to establish rapport.
- Comfortable delivering presentations to groups.
- Ability to work with Microsoft Office tools with minimal support.
- Excellent organizational skills and detailed-oriented.
- Ability to plan at a high-level.
- Adaptable to change.
