DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: It is the primary responsibility of the Pot Washer is to perform a variety of janitorial duties and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies practices and procedures
Pot Washer
- Set-up and operate 3 compartment sink
- Clean kettles and tilt skillets
- Clean/Sanitize sort and store pots/pans/sheet pans in their proper locations on the shelves
- Receives soiled dinnerware flatware and glassware placing items according to size and likeness on automatic dishwashing conveyor belt
- Removes washed dinnerware flatware and glassware from automatic dishwasher and stacks them according to size and likeness for future use
- Returns items not satisfactorily cleaned for a second wash
- Scrubs walls and trash cans
- Breakdown load unload catches and properly sorts all dishes glassware and flatware as it is brought to the dish area
- Wash baseboards floor drains hand sinks tables and cutting boards
- Sweep and mop all floors coolers freezers and wash all floor mats
- Transport garbage from kitchen areas to trash room
- Polish silver copper and brass in all areas as needed
- Ensure that all operations follow health safety and OSHA regulations
- Perform all other job related duties as requested
Required:
- Working knowledge of all cleaning equipment and proper chemical usage
- Excellent customer service skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- A highly motivated and energetic personality
- Ability to operate dish machine
- Work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to effectively communicate in English in both written and oral forms
Preferred:
- At least 1 year of related kitchen experience
- Previous experience in a similar resort setting
- 18 years of age
- SNHD Food Handlers Card required
