The Military Education Benefits Coordinator is responsible for the administration of state and federal veteran educational benefit programs available to military-affiliated students. These benefits include but are not limited to the Post 9/11 GI Bill WI GI Bill and the National Guard Tuition Reimbursement addition the Military Education Benefits Coordinator will assist with customer service and other duties related to day-to-day operations of the Financial Aid and Veteran Services Office.

The Office of Financial Aid and Veteran Services plays an integral part in student recruitment and retention efforts and educating our students on financial awareness topics which helps support the Universitys mission by preparing our students for a diverse and inclusive world. The office is under the umbrella of the University Communications and Marketing division at UW-Stevens Point.
$40000 minimum based on qualifications and experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience working with detail-oriented projects and/or customer service
Demonstrated administrative skills including attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Demonstrated ability in providing excellent customer service to diverse populations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer and data entry skills
Military service and/or experience with military benefits administration (both federal and state)
Demonstrated initiative and experience in advocating and supporting military students and families
Experience working in higher education in veterans services financial aid or other student services
