Job Summary

As an APAC Reconciliations Senior Analyst youll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of client investment positions across our platforms. This involves reconciling positions recorded on FNZ systems with those held by external providers throughout the Asia-Pacific region including cash balances at banking partners and stock/scrip positions at registries term deposit issuers and sub-custodians.

Youll be responsible for identifying and resolving exceptions on reconciliation reports taking ownership of issues through to resolution. This position sits within FNZs Asset Services division supporting a wide range of investment products and markets.

This role would suit someone who is detail-oriented analytical and proactive with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Source validate and upload data from FNZ platforms and third-party custodians/banks.
  • Prepare cash and asset reconciliation reports within agreed timeframes identifying and resolving exceptions.
  • Investigate discrepancies between FNZ records and external holdings and allocate issues for resolution.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of exceptions.
  • Generate and distribute reconciliation and exception summary reports to operational teams and management.
  • Escalate potential risk issues in line with agreed protocols.
  • Perform daily control checks and maintain accurate records for regulatory and audit transparency.
  • Contribute to process improvements and maintain up-to-date operational procedures and checklists.
  • Oversee workflow management and assist the Team Leader as required.
  • Monitor case logs and email communications to ensure timely responses and resolution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with custodians brokers and market data providers.

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate

  • Tertiary qualification with experience in financial operations preferred.
  • Proficient in MSSQL Visio Excel Word and PowerPoint; ability to learn and apply new technologies.
  • Strong analytical thinking attention to detail and capability to resolve financial market and IT system issues.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills; confident in engaging with internal and external stakeholders; effective team player.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve financial market and IT system issues
  • Proven track record in successful project delivery
  • Confidence in engaging with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to deliver projects adapt to shifting priorities and conduct research into project-related issues.
