Job Overview
This role is essential for protecting digital infrastructure and sensitive data from cybersecurity threats within the organization. It involves applying advanced security protocols and technologies to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities proactively. The role requires developing and implementing strategies that comply with cybersecurity policies and regulatory requirements. Success is measured by the effectiveness of security defenses and the ability to respond promptly to incidents. The work supports organizational security posture and maintains trust with customers and stakeholders.
This position is responsible for overseeing auditing analyzing coordinating and implementing security measures to enhance security posture within T-Mobile data SaaS mobile device IoT device enterprise line of business applications cloud big data and core and carrier network technologies as well as other business units as needed. Collaborate with Engineering & Operations Teams to address security vulnerabilities found via PSIRTs scans or breaches. Also drive and support network security standard processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements advanced security protocols and measures to protect digital infrastructure and sensitive data
  • Identifies and mitigates security vulnerabilities through regular system and network analysis
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify security needs and implement improvements
  • Ensures compliance with T-Mobiles cybersecurity policies and regulatory requirements
  • Conducts security assessments and audits to evaluate existing security solutions and suggest improvements
  • Educates and trains staff on cybersecurity best practices and new security technologies
  • Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed


Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree plus 3 years of related work experience
    OR advanced degree with 1 year of related work experience
    OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
  • Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science or Information Technology. (Required)
  • 2-4 years - Implementing and managing cybersecurity measures in a large-scale environment
  • 2-4 years - Experience with security technologies such as firewalls intrusion detection systems and encryption
  • 2-4 years - technical project management within cybersecurity frameworks.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous experience managing deploying and supporting the SSPM or AI-SPM solution (preferred Obsidian Reco)
  • Proven Cloud server deployment and support experience


Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Expert in implementing supporting and remediating SaaS Security Posture Management solutions (ex Obsidian Wiz etc.)
  • Risk Management Expertise in identifying evaluating and mitigating risks in cybersecurity to protect organizational data and infrastructure. (Required)
  • Technical Writing Ability to document cybersecurity processes incidents and protocols clearly and effectively for various audiences. (Required)
  • Regulatory Compliance Deep understanding of cybersecurity laws and regulations to ensure the organization meets all compliance requirements. (Required)
  • Collaboration Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to enhance cybersecurity measures and response strategies. (Required)
  • Problem Solving Strong analytical skills to solve complex cybersecurity issues and enhance system security. (Required)

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) An advanced-level certification for IT pros serious about careers in information security. Offered by (ISC)² CISSP is designed to prove expertise in designing and implementing a security program. (Required)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) This certification offered by ISACA focuses on management design and oversight of information security systems. (Preferred)
  • CompTIASecurity - A global certification that validates the baseline skills necessary to perform core security functions and pursue an IT security career. (Preferred)

Base Pay Range: $79900 - $144100

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidates actual pay will be based on various factors such as work location qualifications and experience so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile employees in regular non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employees eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
