Job Summary
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Location: Near Palm Springs CA (Cathedral City)
Schedule: Full-Time Must be available TuesdayThursday
Setting: Detox & Residential Treatment Program
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Psych NP or PA to join our residential behavioral health program near Palm Springs CA. This role is primarily psychiatric working within a detox/residential program in Cathedral City with occasional medical support as appropriate. Candidates must have strong substance abuse (SA) experience and be comfortable working with dual-diagnosis patients. Providers with a Psych NP dual Psych/FNP or PA background are encouraged to applymust be willing to manage both psychiatric and medical needs as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide psychiatric evaluation diagnosis and ongoing medication management for residential and detox patients.
Support medical needs within scope especially for dual-diagnosis and SA-related conditions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure high-quality patient-centered care.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Participate in care planning treatment team meetings and continuity-of-care efforts.
Qualifications:
Licensed Psych NP Psych/FNP or Physician Assistant in the state of California.
Experience requiredmust have a background working with substance abuse (SA) populations.
Comfortable treating both psychiatric and medical issues in a residential treatment setting.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
