About the Role

St Peters Lutheran College is seeking a dedicated team player to perform the Permanent Full-time position of Teacher Secondary Years - English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EALD). The position ofEALD Teacher is toassistand support students familiesstaffand administrationin the area ofEALD. Reporting to the Head of Exceptional Learners youllactively contribute to a positive workplace culture and ensure that you achieve highest standards of performanceandintegrity andfoster genuine partnerships across all levels of stakeholders to deliver College outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Whenrequiredliasewith enrolmentsregardingthe testing of new andidentifiedstudents from non-English speaking backgrounds using NILLIA and other testing methods.
  • Communicate with Curriculum Leaders Curriculum Leader Assistantsteachersand administration in terms of class placements and providingsupport for EALD students.
  • Undertake face to face teaching of EALD students individually or in small groups working on specific problems or needs.
  • Maintain records of EALD student achievementstrategiesand resources toassistperformance.
