Job Summary

GROUNDS MAINTENANCE WORKER

The Grounds Maintenance Worker under the guidance of the Leadhand is responsible for the upkeep safety and visual presentation of outdoor areas across the site. This includes lawns gardens walkways parking lots and recreational spaces. The role involves operating landscaping equipment performing routine groundskeeping tasks and ensuring all exterior areas are clean well-maintained and free of hazards.

Applicants must have:

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience operating landscaping equipment such as mowers trimmers blowers etc.
Knowledge of horticulture and plant care.
Physical ability to perform outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Valid Class 5 drivers license required.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.

This is a unionized position with a pay rate as of July 1 2024 of $32.00 per hour.
