Job Purpose
The QA/QC Engineer is responsible for implementing monitoring and maintaining the project s quality management system to ensure that all works comply with approved specifications standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves conducting inspections reviewing documentation and coordinating with internal teams and clients to ensure consistent quality in all project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management & Compliance
Implement the project-specific QA/QC plan in line with company policies and ISO standards.
Ensure compliance with contractual specifications international standards and MME/UPDA requirements.
Assist in preparing quality-related procedures inspection test plans (ITPs) and checklists.
Inspection & Testing
Conduct site inspections and verify that works meet approved drawings and specifications.
Coordinate with third-party laboratories for material testing.
Review and approve material submittals method statements and shop drawings from a quality perspective.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain quality records inspection reports and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
Track and close out NCRs and corrective action requests (CARs).
Prepare and submit daily weekly and monthly quality reports to management.
Coordination & Communication
Liaise with clients consultants and subcontractors on quality-related matters.
Participate in project quality meetings and audits.
Support site teams in resolving quality issues.
Continuous Improvement
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor s degree in any Engineering discipline.
Licenses & Certifications: MME/UPDA License (Mandatory); ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in a QA/QC role preferably in construction infrastructure or oil & gas projects.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of quality control standards and inspection procedures.
Proficiency in preparing and reviewing ITPs method statements and QA/QC documentation.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality management standards.
Key Competencies

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Effective communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Working Conditions
Combination of office and site-based work.

Education/Experience/Background: High school or GED with the ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process, safety and quality instructions) and be able to carry out verbal and written instructions. Six months to two years of experience in a related position with experience in a similar environment preferred with ability to comprehend specifications, blueprints and manuals. Experience using material handling equipment, pressure gauges and precision measuring instruments.
